I dinged my two-year old car in an Alexandria parking garage, just enough to scrape off the paint and leave some scratches. Not knowing where to go, I found three different auto body shops in Alexandria and went to get estimates. When I went to Olde Towne Auto Body and Paint, I went without an appointment and had no problem (the other two places indicated I needed an appointment; one took me anyway and the other turned me away). The gentleman who had provided the estimate at Olde Towne Auto Body and Paint, told me I could do one of two things: (1) just have the yellow paint removed (I had hit a yellow pole) and have touch up paint applied or (2) have it done right -- remove the fender, sand it down and have it painted. I asked him what the cost of both options would be and he told me Option #1 would be free -- just bring the car by and he would do it for no cost. That, in itself, I thought was nice! Needless to say, I knew Option #1 wasn't the route I would take so I brought my car to two other places for estimates. In the end, I decided to take my car to Olde Towne Auto Body and Paint. When I called to schedule an appointment, I was surprised to find that it would be two weeks before they could take in and that they only made appointments for Monday and Tuesday. I was in no hurry, so the two-week wait was not much of a problem. I brought my car in Monday morning and the work was done by Thursday afternoon. They did such an awesome job. If I ever needed work on my car again (and I'm hoping that's not the case) I wouldn't hesitate taking my car there. It was a tad bit expensive, but it was worth it. Great job and great service!

I always use this shop to get my car inspected. I have also used these guys for maintaing my cars and have had some body work done here. They are honest, fast, and reliable.I have complete trust in their opinions and have never felt overcharged. I highly recommend this shop!!!!!

At the advice of a friend I took my car to these guys for Inspection after I felt like another garage (Prime Auto) was trying to rip me off. They certainly were! Olde Towne Auto Body quoted me a whopping $2000 less than the other place. That is a LOT of money! I felt like they were absolutely telling me the truth. I even asked about the brakes as the other garage had said I needed them replaced (that's scary!) and mechanic who was working on my car said they were perfectly fine and I wouldn't need to replace them for a while. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough. I created a yelp account for the sole purpose of writing a positive review for these guys.

I was really pleased with my experience at Olde Town Auto Body. I had to take my car in for some bumper repairs after being rear-ended. The guys there were super professional and handled all of the insurance paper work. They even removed some extra scuffs and marks I had on my car free of charge! Additionaly they gave me extra touch-up paint and cleaned my car before giving it back to me -- not to mention the fact that my bumper looks good as new! I would definitely use these guys again -- finding them was the silver lining of the accident!

I have taken my car here twice and have been really impressed each time. They work with insurance, provide an up-front estimate that does not change unless they let you know first, and do a beautiful job with repair and paint! It's sort of a secret place because of where it's located and I would not have known about it had I not been referred by someone in the glass business. They also gave me great referrals for other types of repair. All have come through and I will always take my car here for any type of auto body/paint repair, even though they are now 30 minutes from me!

I just moved to the area and I had no clue where to take my car when someone knocked off the side mirror (I park on the street). This was a random find, and I went here because they happen to be certified by State Farm Insurance. They fixed my car inside the estimate given to them from the other insurance agency, ordered the part while I sat in the office, gave me their own estimate in under 5 minutes, and called me almost daily to update me on the status of the ordered part. I brought my car in at 7:30am (before work) and they called me at 9:30am to tell me it was ready for pickup. WOW! I didn't make it in until after 6pm, when I said oh yeah, can you check my tire, I think it has a nail in it. The guy from the front desk walked out himself, took my tire off, fixed a leak, and put it back on. NO CHARGE!!!! The mechanics are dedicated, work 5 days a week, 11 hours a day, and are very knowledgeable. You won't slip through as "just another customer". I walked into the office and the guy in front said, Hi Jackie, you're the Taurus, right? I felt very in-the-know with all the repairs going on (even though I know precisely enough about cars to screw the gas cap back on) and I got the truth about what was necessary for repair and what wasn't. I will be returning here until I move out of the metro area and I will be telling everyone I know how great Olde Towne Auto Body is (even if the spelling is weird)!!

Although I hate to give this secret away :-), just have to write a positive review about what I think is a reasonable and honest car shop. I told them the estimate my insurance gave for some damage, and they said they would not go over that. And indeed they didn't! Only downside was that I had to wait a couple of weeks before they had an appointment available. But the Better Business Bureau had favorable stats. on them (I think they are BBB accredited in fact), so I was willing to wait. Also, they did a good job! They even repaired part of the car that was in a little worse shape than one of the covered parts that actually got damaged (scratched up paint). Plus they were friendly and no creepy, "cheapo car shop out to cheat you" vibes.

I had a great experience at this body shop. And I am your stereotypical woman-who-knows-nothing-about-cars. I had a dent in my front left fender, and my insurance company was not going to be covering the cost of repair. The guys at Old Towne Auto Body were actually quite sympathetic to my plight and worked to get the price down as low as possible. Ultimately, they were able to secure a used fender for me from a car identical to mine, saving me money in parts, paint and labor. They also turned the job around in less than 2 days! Best of all, when I went to pay the final bill, it came in at about half of the orginal estimate. My car looks brand new, and I could not be happier. If you need any kind of body work done on your car, give them a call NOW.
